Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available.  Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from Ozaukee Ice Center.

What is the OWHL Hootenanny?

Urban dictionary defines a hootenanny as “a party, most generally one that is, well, chock full of hoot, with just a little nanny.” 

For OWHL, the Hootenanny is our INCREDIBLY FUN end of season tournament. 

FORMAT 

• Novice / Intermediate play 6 mini games (equivalent to 3 games) 
• Intermediate / Advanced play 3 regular time games

What team will I play for?

You will be placed on a team based on several factors including your skill level, balance of the teams, and available spots (first come, first serve).  We will take friend requests.  We will place you on one of the following teams:

•  A current OWHL team that needs a sub due to player absence 
• A novice / intermediate  “Rainbow” sub team (jerseys available purchase when assigned to the team)
• An intermediate/high level “Rainbow” sub team (jerseys available purchase when assigned to the team)

When are the games?

• Novice / Intermediate Games start 5:00pm on Friday, April 12th - games will be played in both the morning and afternoon Saturday and "Hoot Place" games (5 vs 6, 4 vs 3, 1vs 2) on Sunday starting mid morning and ending mid afternoon

• Intermediate/ High Games start 7:00pm on Friday, April 12th  - games will be played Saturday late afternoon and Sunday morning to early afternoon

Something Special About the Hoot - The After Party Saturday Night!

You do not want to miss this!  The Hootenanny planning committee knows how to throw a party!!!!!  After the games on Saturday night, the teams (OWHL and guests) head to a party.  We secure an outside event space, hire dueling DJs, and cater dinner.  Once registration closes, players will get an invite to the After Party

Why is this tournament so much fun?

The weekend is full of laughter, camaraderie, and a little bit of chaos.  It’s fun because approximately 150 female hockey players play 24 games of hockey in approximately 48 hours.   People are constantly coming and going in the hallways.  We play hockey together.  We eat together.  We dance together.  Someone described the weekend as Summer Camp for adults.  There are so many fun activities throughout the weekend. 

• We encourage play at the novice speed, and that the higher skilled players make the new players look good.  More advanced skaters challenge each other.
• Penalties will be  enforced by the refs. You will be ejected from a game upon the 3rd penalty.
• NO JERKS!  Unsportsmanlike behavior will get you tossed without refund.
• 3 goals max per player per game.
